Mallory Hagan for Alabama State House District 25

After working as the Alabama Communications Director for Mike Bloomberg for President, Mallory was recruited to run for the open Alabama State House seat in District 25. Over the course of the election, Mallory knocked on thousands of doors, build an impressive volunteer base, and brought important issues like women’s healthcare and statewide education to the forefront. Though Mallory didn’t win, she furthered her stamp on Alabama politics and encouraged young people to step into the arena.

In February of 2018, Mallory announced a bid for Alabama’s 3rd congressional district seat. She ran against a 16-year Republican incumbent Congressman in a dedicated and energetic campaign through East Alabama. Throughout the process, Mallory championed important causes to the county and the state of Alabama, bringing attention to the lack of representation that many Alabamians have felt under current leadership.

Voter Protection

Nearing the end of the campaign, Mallory and her campaign formed a Voter Protection Committee, headed by Attorney Fred Grey, Jr. of Tuskegee. Alabama Secretary of State John Merrill purged over 66,000 votes from Alabama’s 3rd district. The Hagan campaign worked to make sure voters knew their rights, and that those voters were also protected at the polls.
